A viable alternative to a hotel room.
Canmore Alberta is situated in the Bow Valley, approximately 75 minutes drive west from Calgary airport and one hour from downtown Calgary. There is currently a bus service to Canmore from the airport to Canmore should you choose not to drive. If you do hire a car there is a designated parking space in the basement of the apartment along with a “lock up” for skis, fishing equipment etc.
Although our apartments are only less than 10 minutes walk from the town centre, there is a local taxi service available. There are two supermarkets either side of the complex, each is about the size of an average town supermarket in England.The condominiums are four storey structures, with our apartments on the top floor, allowing you not only peace and privacy, but an unrivalled view of the most spectacular mountain range in the world.
Not only do you have access to the Canadian Rockies but the town of Banff is only a 20 minute car ride away. Vancouver is only a day's drive away, giving you the opportunity to absorb some of the most scenic countryside in the world.
In addition to the world famous Calgary Stampede there are many other special events in and around Canmore, some of which we have listed.
The ground floor is already kitted out to accommodate retail shopping; including an off licence, several giftshops and a family restaurant, which will be up and running in the very near future. For those of you who enjoy a tipple, among the many bars in town there is a “Micro Brewery”, which brews seasonal ales on the premises.
Unlike many holiday destinations you will enjoy completely different and varied experiences, no matter what time of the year you choose to visit. In the summer the temperature can climb to +30 c and in the winter dip down to -30 c. Unlike Europe, the climate is very dry and so the temperatures won’t feel as extreme.
Each apartment lounge has a log effect gas fire, stereo system and 42" plasma screen colour TV, with DVD and video recorder; there are many cable channels for TV viewing. A video rental shop is just across the road and short stay visitors are welcome to rent DVDs and videos. The kitchen is extensively equipped with a full size appliance package including an American style fridge, hob, oven, dishwasher and microwave. A washer and dryer is also supplied in the suite, so you can take less clothes! The kitchen and bathrooms have under floor heating, and the downstairs bathroom has a bath and shower. A power shower cubicle is provided on the upper floor for the loft bedroom.
When the sun starts sinking behind the rockies it's time to light up the gas fired barbecue on your private balcony, or maybe stroll into town and enjoy one of the many cosmopolitan restaurants ranging from family eateries to fine dining.
