Still enjoy downhill skiing until May in Sunshine Village and Lake Louise. The Canadian Rockies offer a much long ski season than many European resorts.
There are numerous exhibitions in and around Canmore within walking distance of our accommodation, local art exhibitions reflecting both contemporary and native styles and photographs by Canmore residents.

Arts Speak arts festival. 8th - 10th June artsPeak 2007 will continue to be a multi-venued, multi-disciplinary event with activities centered in the downtown core of Canmore but which will also include activities throughout the townsite. The festival will once again feature Canmore artists and their works, while at the same time providing an opportunity for audiences to embrace the work of visiting artists.
Confirmed events include the popular and established artWalk, artTour, Art on Main, and Hanging Out Art activities which highlight local visual artists, artFair, which features visual arts work from both local and visiting artists, artStreet, a street performers festival, artWatch for film and video buffs, a number of workshops, lectures and demonstrations which we have branded as artWork,artBites, artLit and artTalk, and, a series of Main Stage musical events. artsPeak 2007 marks the 5th anniversary of this fantastic arts event so join us for a weekend guaranteed to help you inspire, create & celebrate – June 8, 9 and 10! |

July 1st Canada Day Parade and Festival. Canmore's Canada Day celebrations kick off at 7:30am with a free breakfast in Centennial Park, followed by a parade down main street at noon, a marching band performances in Centennial Park at 1:30pm, and wrap up with fireworks at 10:30pm.
Calgary Stampede July 6th-15 2007
On of the largest outdoor shows on earth. The Calgary stampede is an event to be enjoyed by all the family. With everything from Chuck wagon races to live music, but don’t forget to visit the rodeo!
