Canmore Golf Courses

Canmore is a year round mountain activity centre! Before the ski season has completely come to a halt the golf courses are preparing for the on coming season and getting ready to welcome golfers from around the world. You may not be a Tiger Woods, but imagine enjoying a few hours with your friends or family playing one of Canmore’s mountain view courses all of which are an easy drive, pardon the pun! Don’t forget you can enjoy a relaxing rest in the clubhouse before or after your game and most courses welcome non players to the 19th hole!

Open May – October Green Fees $135.00 – $175.00 Silvertip Resort is not only a fabulous golf course, but one of Canmore’s stunning wedding venues and you can even host your own golf tournament. The course was designed by Les Furber, one of the worlds leading golf course architects. Surrounded by the stunning Rocky Mountains including Canmore’s famous Three Sisters mountain range, the course complements the incredible vista and fits comfortably into the terrain. Being so close to a wild life corridor it isn’t unusual to see some of the local wildlife on the course. This 72 Par golf course is furnished with crystal clear mountain ponds, lush forest, immaculately manicured turf, and inviting fairways and greens. At the end of a great round of golf, relax in one of two restaurants. Stoney’s Bar and Grill is one of Canmore’s top rated patios. Open May – October Green Fees $85.00 at weekends This Par 71course was also designed by Les Furber although Les still makes yearly changes to his design. The Canmore Golf & Curling Club was established in June of 1926 and has always been a focal point for the community. Nature once again plays an important roll in this course, not only using water hazards, but the Bow River itself. Lessons and repairs are offered by qualified CPGA staff, including week-long junior and lady instructional sessions during summer. After enjoying a great round of golf, you can then relax in the clubhouse or on a magnificent deck during the summer months. Whether you are looking for a venue for 40 or you need to accommodate a larger function of up to 500 the excellent catering team will be able to look after you in style.

Green Fees $59.00 – $149.00.  Almost in the shadow of the Three Sisters mountain range, the Stewart Creek Golf & Country Club designed in the year 2000 by underrated course architect Gary Browning, the course offers a par 71 challenge. The course takes advantage of the natural undulations of the terrain as it naturally weaves it’s way around the 18 holes. The stunning vistas will take your breath away, while you negotiate the well maintained course. This is not only a stunning golf course, but an excellent venue for weddings or meetings. The club house offers tasty pub fair and a relaxed atmosphere to unwind after a stimulating round of golf.

Green Fees TBA. Kananaskis Country Golf Course will be reopening in 2018 for the new season. As you line up for each tee, you won’t be disappointed by the views. 5,000 foot mountains tower above this monumental golf course. Architect Robert Trent Jones Sr, described Kananaskis Country Golf Course as “The best natural setting I have ever been given to work with” out of the over 500+ golf courses he has designed around the world. There are two courses at Kananaskis Country Golf Course both  parr 72’s.  In 2013 the course and surrounding area was devastated by flooding. However, the residents of Canmore are resilient and bounced back, but with the course severely damaged. In 2016 work began to restore the much loved golf course and will reopen in again for the 2018 season.

Green Fees TBA Located in Exshaw, 12 miles to the east of Canmore. The Brewster family ranch was opened In 1923 by Missy Bagley Brewster as a guest ranch, attracting visitors from all over the world. The golf course was opened in 2001 with the first 9 holes and the course was then completed in 2009. Located on the north the side of the Bow River this course can be played in jeans and have a very relaxed western feel. This isn’t to say that the course is ordinary though. Group Golf Packages can include a Barbecue dinner in the famed Brewster “Donut” tent or in the Golf Course Tournament Room. In September the course plays host, to the Bud Brewster Tournament  in support of STARS air ambulance. STARS is dedicated to providing a safe, rapid, highly specialised medical transport system for the critically ill and injured.
