The trouble is we all have different tasted and lets not forget the budget! Sometimes you just want to relax and enjoy a pint or two with some nachos, but this may not dust the mustard on an anniversary or a special family treat! Establishments also change hands you can go one night and the food is superb and the next night you have something different from the menu and you don’t like it. Below you will find some ideas for some places you may want to eat or drink. No recommendations, just an idea of the kind of food and maybe a hint of the atmosphere. From Tempura Cheese to a 34oz Porterhouse dinner, for sharing! The menu includes both Gluten free and Vegan options. Housed in an old refurbished garage the restaurant has a light and modern, atmospheric and open plan space. Although Bake, doesn’t take reservations in advance and is on a first come first serve base. They do have a spectacular bar with wonderful views and a full drink menu, allowing you to comfortably enjoy your wait should a table not be immediately available. You may during the summer months, come across PD3 by Blake. This converted double decker bus parked on 8th Street, Canmore offer the similar scrumptious tastes.

Wether you want a filling breakfast or a light salad this traditional family run café offers home cooked, lovingly prepared good honest food. Be warned, weekends, breakfast time, there will be a line up for sure! but there is a reason for that, it’s very tasty. On the outskirts of Canmore you can enjoy a stunning view and have a very affordable meal. If you want to go for an early evening meal,Craig’s stays open until 9.00pm and is fully licensed. With a kids menu, Craig’s should please all the family.

Using organically sourced produce when available. Don’t fill up on the started and main courses as you will miss out on the hand made deserts. One of the few restaurants where these delicious treats are made by hand. The wine list is extensive to say the least and has in excess of 200 labels to make a selection from. The menu is made up of “world cuisine” from pizza to a tenderloin tartare. If you have any special dietary requirements, please call ahead and the kitchen will do there very best to accommodate you.

This is a good place to start your day, with over 70 Breakfast Brunch Menu Items served, you won’t be stuck for choice. The lunch menu ranges from the classic Poutine to Crêpes and in the evening the French theme continues, including Bouillabaisse and Pork au Roquefort. You will have views of the Rundle Range and Ha Ling Peak. while enjoying your meal and maybe a glass of wine.

The Harvest Cafe is a very busy spot and is close enough to the condos to get the cinnamon buns home still warm! If you would rather eat breakfast out, then this is another Canmore gem. Sunrise Wrap consisting of: Scrambled eggs, fresh mango salsa, spinach, avocado & mozzarella cheese in a grilled tortilla, is just one of the signature breakfast dishes and for luck, why not try CURRY Chicken Curry Wrap. A grilled tortilla stuffed with oven roasted chicken breast, spinach, mozzarella cheese, apple chutney & our homemade curry mayo. Mmmm! There is also an extensive children’s menu.

You can just pop in, for a beer and a plate of nachos or enjoy something more substantial from the pub style menu, but please ask the server for vegetarian and gluten—free options, When open, the large patio has excellent views of the Vow Valley. It’s certainly recommended that you book at busy times and this a very popular patio. You may also consider the Iron Goat as an option for your wedding catering needs.

Aroma Mexican Restaurant was opened by Chef José Castillo with his wife Laura in 2009 They say ” two crazy Mexicans, with no English and no clue about business in Canada, but with four hands, good experience, our family’s recipes, lots of passion, roots and traditions, hard work and lots of innocence, we did it.” The home made dishes are fresh and traditional with a Mexican beer in your hand and black Beans on a crispy corn tortilla wit slow cooked Pork Carnitas, topped with sliced lettuce, sour cream, feta cheese, red onions, pickles, and fresh salsa on the side. What’s not to like! Oh and don’t forget the home made deserts.
